Morning traffic

Night desert
sky stretches far

Fingers numb

I squint into
cold, misty rain

A plane
Kennel dogs bark
and jump

Two planets
shine high in the sky
Distant romance

Rabbit runs
Followed by the shadow
of a hawk

Burnt wood
in the cold air – A car
door slams
